If the sea level will rise because of climate change, will the territorial waters change accordingly?

if the sea will rise one meter only, some miles of land might be covered by it. will the territorial waters shrink accordingly? is there any international convention or agreement that has addressed this issue so far?

I dont think so. The territories are vague at least, but they are there, via sat I believe. With a one metre rise, you could lose huge land masses, and whilst that will not be land in the sense of being able to habitat in, it sould still be claimed in other ways. Lets say we lost the North Island. New Zealand would still claim that area that used to be the north island, wouldnt they? It would just be under water. I am guessing here of course. I dont think we would want overseas fishing boats, over what was once the north island because of 'shrinking territories'.

    Interesting question.

I think that would be among the last of our concerns at that point.
