What is this book about canoeing the Rio Grande?
I heard an interview on NPR this weekend with an author who had written a book about his canoe trip down the Rio Grande. I was driving & couldn't jot down the author and title and now I can't remember either.
Does this ring a bell with anyone?
It wasn't the Eric Ellman story -- this author was Hispanic-American, and a native of Laredo, TX. I think the book had "seven days" in the title, but I haven't had any luck searching with that phrase.
Found it! It wasn't the Eric Ellis story, but your link to the NPR site helped me figure out what channel I was listening to (KRPS). Fortunately, the station has its broadcast schedule posted on its website. That helped me figure out the program (Rick Steves Travel), and _that_ website gave me the answer.
It was Keith Bowden talking about his book, "The Tecate Journals: seventy days on the Rio Grande."
