questions about the ps2?

There is a couple of questions. First can the fat ps2 go online still? and do they still have online games for it? and how can i get the adapter does gamestop have it? and is there updates that you get from online like you do for xbox 360 because instead of just buying a ps3 ill keep my ps2. last can i put music and pictures on my ps2

    Yes, it can still go online... but there really weren't all that many games with online features to begin with, and several of the servers have been shut down because no one was using them. Final Fantasy XI, of course, still works, and I'm sure there are some other games as well.

    For the adapter, you'll probably have to go to eBay. Gamestop doesn't carry it in their stock of new items, and whether or not they have any used ones depends on whether or not someone has sold them one recently.

    There are no online updates for PS2... that's a very new concept. You aren't going to find it in the older consoles.

    And no, I don't think you can put music/pictures on the PS2. It lacks the internal storage space necessary for that.

    There probably still are online games for it. I doubt that they are supported still. Gamestop will most likely not carry the adapter anymore. There are no updates for the online content (that I remember) on the PS2.

    I think the easy to all your questions is yes. However you seriously should just save up for a ps3. It will be a much better experience and there may actually be people online playing.
