Why is it that every single time I answer a Y!A question, I have to look at a pop-up about Y! Updates?!?
Even when I click the box that says "Do not show me this again", it shows it to me again. I HATE IT!

I agree, it's annoying -- but you can fix it. I think it's a bug to be honest.
The "tick" is bugged and doesn't save your request, so you can follow these steps to not receive the popups anymore:
• Click here: http://answers.yahoo.com/my/my_edit
• Under "Privacy" (under UPDATES), click the flag next to Yahoo! Answers and select "Don't share my updates".
• Scroll down, click Preview
• Click OK on the next screen
• Click here: http://profiles.yahoo.com/
• Click "Profile Settings"
• Click "Manage My Updates"
• Uncheck "Share my Updates"
• Click Save
The messages should now stop. My settings were changed on Monday it seems -- I had to go through and put everything on "Don't share my updates" as I had already done before. I have no idea why Yahoo decided to "undo" your settings.

Its called marketing. Every time someone gets in financial trouble, they sell out so the original rules don't apply and you will have to upgrade to extra service and spend money to get what you thought you were paying for
