How do I turn off Yahoo Update Notifications?
I've been using Yahoo Answers for a couple of years, mostly answering people's questions on Computers and Electronics. Now all of a sudden in the last 2 days, I keep getting notices asking if I want to share my answers on Yahoo Updates. And I can't turn it off, even after trying all their help suggestions. I'm not into all this social networking stuff. I don't want to be some total stranger's "friend". I just enjoy helping others out by sharing what I know.
How do I turn these damn notifications off?

Click on your avatar and go to edit my profile and go to where it says updates, click on it and click on do not share updates, scroll down and click on save changes.

top right click the green [ My profile] tab
Edit my info
go to updates
select to share or not share outside of answers site
preview the page & click OK.
It will stop*

It even is available in my y!messenger. each and every time I click "confident", it closes and doesnt initiate downloading. So even on clicking "confident" the headache doesnt bypass! its in my watchlist, even i desire an answer for this...
