Duty Free tobacco question?

If you have to be 18 to buy smokes in the UK but 16 in France, if you were on a boat with duty free tobacco and you're 17

would they sell it to you?

Update:

It would be registered to the united kingdom i assume, but in French waters

I imagine customs would sieze alcohol/cigs on a under 18, as its illegal to buy alcohol/cigs for under 18's and since you have bought alcohol/cigs for an under 18 then you have broken UK law. Didnt even realise they changes the age on buying tobacco.

Who can save on the job loose isn't in accordance with citizenship, yet rather, residency. so as that they would not rather desire a passport in any case by means of fact it is not suitable. in any case, if a Canadian resident only does a U turn and springs lower back to Canada, they are going to be compelled to pay all the import responsibilities and taxes as though they bought it at a save in Canada.

It would depend on the laws in the country the boat was registered to, and in whose waters you were currently situated.

If your in international waters then you can buy it but you cannot be in possession of it when you get into the country's waters.
