Try www.pahorsemall.com, and wwwthepaperhorse.com, these are two Pennsylvania websites. And you CAN find a great horse for that price. The markets are down, people are unloading horse that are not being used, and favorite pets they can no longer keep. It will take a lot of leg work and maybe help from some friends. Let the stables in your area know that you are looking, many times they have owners who aren't able to use their horse but don't want to sell. You can lease the horse for a specified time in exchange for paying the board. Think outside the box. Remember though, it's exciting to look. Don't get caught up in that excitement! Make a list of what you want, get a trial period if you can, a contract is a must if leasing, a vet check is a good idea if you can afford it, and most importantly, RIDE the horse before you buy! If in doubt, always walk away. You can come back for a second look if you want but once you buy, the horse is yours. One more word of caution, always take a friend with you when visiting strange farms or stables. Good luck and have fun, but don't be in a rush to buy and you'll be happy with your purchase.

There's a studio that teaches traditional dance but also incorporates a lot fo other kinds of dance, ti might be worth checking them out. Its called Paula and Judy's Dance Connection. The exact location escapes me, I think its on Station. I don't remember exactly. Coming from Mercyhurst College I remember taking east 38th all the way out and turning. I believe, onto Station. I'll see if I can find out.

I think trying to find a well trained good first horse for $900 is incredibly unrealistic. You might be able to find one...but don't get your hopes up.

    Try dreamhorse.com, bigeq.com, etc...there are a bunch!
