CAN YOU DOWNLOAD MUSIC ONTO A PS3?
I know on xbox360 you can download music from CD's to listen while you play any game. I just got a PS3 and dont know much about it. Is it possible to download music onto the hard drive of the PS3? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Yes. The PS3 will play and copy/rip MP3, WMA, and AAC audio files. And, of course, the traditional WAV/CDA that is the file format of your ordinary audio CD. It imports tracks from audio CDs; go to the Music Settings first and choose what format & bitrate you want the music to be converted to. MP3, WMA, and AAC files on a data disc or USB drive are merely copied; bitrate, tag info, and file format remain the same.
The PS3 is capable of playing your music during games, but Sony does not mandate it like Microsoft does, so its up to the developers to implement the feature into their games and only a handful of games support the feature. you can just download the music into a thumbdrive or something like it and transfer it onto your ps3 however you cannot listen to music and game at the same time
