My mom is moving out, is abusive, controlling, and blames it on me! What do i do! Im afraid of her!?
My mother is very controlling. She pulled me out of public schooling to home school me and she literally MADE me tell my friends it was because of my insecurities and problems. Luckily, one true friend still keeps in contact with me but every time we talk she starts to yell at me. He now thinks that I want nothing to do with him.
She also believes spanking is fine and I can see why. However she goes over board. My 9 yr. old sister has welts on her legs. The other day I got a long but thin scratch on my cheek from a broken piece of plastic she threw at me.
She also woke me up this morning to tell me shes moving out. At first I was in shock, then elated( due to the thought of long prayed for freedom), But then fear because due to the effect of being pulled out of school I am emotionally dependent on her.
Im a 14 girl who is crying herself to sleep daily. Please help me.

Call your one friend, or call the police to get child protective services and they'll help you quick. Spanking is horrible but it can be acceptable if it's on the butt and doesn't leave any marks so leg welts are definite abuse. So is throwing plastic. Isolation and control is emotional abuse. Do you have a family member you can turn to, or a neighbor that you know? Get out, get help. Take your sister with you. Be insistent. Say how bad things are, tell the truth, tell everything. Don't back down. If your mom does move out, it would be a good time to invite the police over.
