Where does the negative battery cable end on 98 mustang?
Negative battery cable is corroded and i'm trying to replace it. following the cable leads into more insulation up by the engine block and I loose track from there. At the same time a new cable is only 2 feet long (the old one appears to be 4 feet or more). Can I terminate the new cable anywhere on the body/chassis? Where does the original go?
Found it, it is on the passenger side around the back of the engine block.

should go to the engine block or frame shouldnt matter,id put it on the engine block . there should be a jumper wire from engine to body/frame anyway
