Quick easy question about taxes?

This april 15, 2010, we declare the $ we earned in 2009 only? I took some student loans this month (january 2010), I dont need to declare that right? Thanks

    Not if you took out the loan in 2010. You'll use that next year.

    That's right. The 2009 tax return only includes income from the calendar year 2009.

    only 2009 info goes on your 2009 return. But student loans don't show at all on your return, even for the year you take them.
