can i get a job if my dad has no job but my mom does?

im fourteen and my dadd got layed off. im trying to see if i can get a job this summer if he does not have one by then

    Yes but in most states you have to get a "work permit" if you are under 16. To get one, your grades in school must be all passing grades.

    You dad NOT having a job and you mom HAVING a job has NOTHING to do with your ability to get a job. Those are completely different things.
