What could cause the headlights and dashlights to dim/flicker on a 99 Dodge Dakota?
Tonight I noticed my headlights and dashlights flickering or dimming while I was sitting Idle. My Amp/Volt meter (whichever it is called) seemed to be running a little higher than normal. Any Suggestions?

you need to check the ground wire real good on it because when those start to get loose it will cause it to over charge a little bit sometimes, and a bad light switch will cause a lot of the problems your having and those trucks had multiple problems from light switches going bad on them, good luck.

I'd check the headlight switch first, and all my ground cables second. How much is "a little higher"? It might still be within the normal range...

Headlamp switch, battery connections, state of battery charge and load, alternator, chargeing condition on a load
