How can I keep a small potted Christmas tree inside until it is to large to do so?

I bought one of those small potted trees complete with decorations from a grocery store. I would like to keep it until next year. I live in an apartment complex. It is so pretty. I removed the decorations of course. If I can't keep it I'll have to throw it out. The staff here don't want to plant it outdoors. My sons don't live in the area, nor do any other of my family members. Sigh..or else I'd give it to a family member to plant out side of their property.

Christmas trees can't be pruned. in case you do, in undemanding terms take out the backside branches. they have particularly flat roots, so which you will in undemanding terms repot it whilst it incredibly is a minimum of three foot intense. positioned it outdoors (balcony, backyard) as quickly because it stops freezing, so as that it does not get a chilly ask your self. the main necessary is to ascertain it gets lots of water interior the fall and the spring. in the adventure that your pot has a hollow on the botton, supply it lots of water. If no longer, be careful the roots do no longer rot. It does not decide for any particular compost. it is going to stand up to any climate yet no longer abrupt temperature changes, which incorporate from a heated abode to outdoors in iciness. whilst it gets too vast, you will ought to plant it outdoors.

Gee, don't sweat it growing. I've had one for a few years and it's still only about a foot tall. Just enjoy it. Why not decorate it for every holiday, like Valentine's and Easter and so on and so on. Have it be fun.
