How long to let brownies cool untill icing?

I made my own icing and Im writing a message on brownies

they came out of the oven like 5 minutes ago

how long do I wait!?!!

    You have to cool them till they're cool. If you put frosting on warm brownies it will melt and run off them

    put the icing and brownies both in the fridge for at least an hour. then ice the brownies.

    I would say put then by the window sill and let then settle for about 15 minutes.

    I actual have sprinkled chocolate chips on warm cakes, while melted you could unfold basically like frosting. as long as you do not refrigerate the cakes the topping will stay comfortable.
