Is there a professional who takes control your money?

I have no ability to control my spending. I need someone who will pay my bills and allow me only so much a week for gas and expenses.

Update:

OK. massive impulse problems. The person I am today who wants to save money may not be the same person tomorrow who is depressed and wants to buy dinner to feel better. Am seeing someone professional, on meds. but I cant have someone 24 hours playing the executive function of my frontal cortex. I need someone to take the spending habit away for a while. Thanks but all of your responses are no different than just telling someone to just quit smoking with easy access to cigs.

That is not a permanent solution. You can't go through life like that. Developing self-control is the answer.

You don't want someone who controls your money. That should be you. But you do need someone to help you control your money. That would be a financial manager or planner. They will work with you on a savings plan and could advise you on investing, if you can. Find an easy and realistic budget planner. Once you gain control over your finances and see what you can save, it becomes almost fun. There is absolutely nothing wrong with saving the money for something that you want and the good feeling that you get when you accomplish that. There is also a feeling of security that comes with financial stability.

My husband had that same problem.

He would just open his credit card bill, look at it, and never pay it.

    His solution:

    He married a good woman.

A person to do this for you would start out at $400/month.

No, you need SELF DISCIPLINE. There are people that will do what you say, but it WON'T do you ANY good until YOU learn to control YOURSELF.
