Why is there mildew on the underside of my memory foam mattress?

I looked under my memory foam mattress (which is less than a year old) and there is a round mildew spot under the side where I sleep...it's about 20" x 20". I have spilled NOTHING on it, and even have a stain-proof protector on it (mattress pad). I can't think of what would cause this...I'm not in a particularly humid environment. Has anyone else had this happen or can you think of what caused it?

If you don't have the mattress on something with ventilation spaces, like if you have it on the floor or on a solid platform, this can happen. I found this out when I had a foam mattress on the floor while I was doing some serious remodelling and had the mattress on the floor temporarily while things were all disturbed. I lifted it up one day and it was actually so wet on the bottom that there was a small pool of water on the floor. The mattress must be on a box spring, or on slats or something, with some air space underneath it. I think it's condensation from you that does it.

Ive tried them interior the save and its my dream mattress, if its too costly, you will desire to get a memory foam pillow for her and a foam to go over her mattress. My brother in regulation spent $one hundred on a pillow for my sister bc she had lower back aches and he or she have been given so mad for spending that a lot. He informed her to objective it for an afternoon and he or she didnt think of it became well worth it, hed return it. Yeah, she had her first stable night sleep in years and now she cant stay without her pillow. its a stable investment.
