Can we go back to true spirit of islam?

The are some questions and answers in ramadan which is very,very uncomfortable for a muslim.

    and sue we will one day

    we need to unit, to be one nation again

    to believe more and more in our Islam

    to put our faith in Allah

    So what is the true spirit of Islam?

    For what I know it is a Abrahamic Religion the youngest actually of the three. It though well lets say brothers do fight a bit don't they. I guess Abraham died and it's children are forever fighting over their "inheritance" Though really all that was never theirs anyway.
