i have posted several stories, but none of them are being accepted. i know your thinking its because they suck, but they're not even getting any votes. theres no "averages" or "mehs" on any of them. am i doing something wrong?

You're not doing anything wrong. The stories are voted on by the users to appear on the site. They have to receive a lot of votes to make it. Many stories don't get on simply because they're not seen -- that site is INCREDIBLY popular. My advice is to keep submitting and eventually, they will be approved.
