You can use the word viewer to view the document and copy the contents to your word 2003

    Get the viewer at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?Fa...

Next time, at your school save the word document as a word 2003 document so you wont have this problem

There are two solutions for this problem:

    1. In Word 2007, do a Save As (click the round Office button first) and select “Word 97-2003 Document (*.doc)” as the file type.

    OR

    2. On the machine with the 2003 version of Word, download and install Microsoft’s free Compatibility Pack.

Note that this still won’t give the older version of Word the newer features of Word 2007, and there’s a good chance any such features will be lost on files processed by the older version.

Also note that Word 2007 may need to have a file converter installed off the installation disk to handle the older version’s file format

    Hope that helps.

You go to save as 2003 document and it saves on 2007. It has bigger size in 2003!
