I want to get Amazon Video On Demand or Netflix on my laptop, how do I transfer to my TV?

I want to be able to watch the movies I rent off of Amazon or Netflix (rent and watch instantly on my laptop) on my tv. Sort of like a transfer from my laptop to my TV. What do I need to do this. Do I need to purchase a special cord or item? Thank You In Advance. I'm sorry this question really does not make sense. I APPRECIATE ANY HELP! Have a Great Week!

Since you already know the score with Netflix and Hulu Plus, let's talk about Amazon Prime Video. $79.00 a year (one time payment) for the service. Breaks down to $6.59 a month, $1.40 cheaper per month than Netflix or Hulu. Amazon Prime Video has many of the same titles as Netflix, but also has video Netflix doesn't carry. Better quality? Better quality videos? Not necessarily, just different. Better quality streaming? Yes and no. Amazon streams in High HD 100% of the time for video that is shot in HD. If for some reason there's a problem with bandwidth Amazon will stop streaming, and you have to exit the video and restart it (doesn't happen often). Netflix will stream in varying degrees of HD (low, med, high), unless there are bandwidth restrictions, then it sends video in SD until an HD connection is restored. SIx of one - half dozen of the other.
