No. It's actually very, very good.

Since the 50's nearly every water supply in the USA, Australia, and UK has been fluoridated. Since then, the number of cavities and root canals has dropped exponentially. In fact, the spike in popularity of bottled water in the USA in 1993 (which here, contains no fluoride) caused a large spike (nearly 50%) in the number of cavities.

Sodium Fluoride is also a good sanitizer when used in small dosages. If it were not in our water, we would need chlorine, iodine, or alcohol instead. All of which would be more dangerous and more expensive.

Lastly, the flourosis concern that some anti-flouridation protesters are concerned with requires a HUGE amount of fluoride. Toothpaste, for example, is formulated so a toddler could eat a tube of OTC toothpaste and have no signs of flourosis. There's absolutely no way you could get it from drinking the water.

  • studies now reveal that it lowers I.Q and can cause cancer. Fluoride it's a toxin like pesticides in our food.
