Please Help! I think my fish have Ich?

I have been studying about ich online and my fish seem to match the description. I noticed my fish rubbing against the rock at the bottom of the tank. I havn't noticed any white dots tho. I did noticed tho when i move the rocks small worm like things float around and my angel fish eats it. I'm super worried tho because i just bought a new fish and i don't want anything to happen to it.

Update:

Is it possible for my new fish to get lucky and not get it at all?

Update 2:

what are the small worm like things if it's not ich?

Update 3:

how long should i keep the temp. up?

    2 cures for ich:

    1) Using aquarium salt and raising the temperature a few degrees

    2) Quick Cure! (a medicine, with the !) It works and does nto harm the other fish :)

I have a theory as to what your worm type things are: they could indeed be worms, maybe planaria? Are they on the glass? If so, do a lot of research on how to get rid of these. It took me a few tries but I finally got rid of mine using a combination of three different methods.

It could also be a nasty fungus that grows on clumps of uneaten food or sometimes eggs.

I suggest taking some to your LFS (Local Pet Store) and getting them to tell you what it is. After you collect a sample, clean the gravel and add some fresh water. :)

I hope your fish are okay!

The best way to kill ich is salt + temperature treatment.

Add 1 tablespoon or AQUARIUM salt per 5 gallons of water, and raise the temperature in the tank to 87 degrees (that temp kills the ich outright).

Small worm things? Kinda sounds like fungus growing on uneaten food (vacuum the gravel to remove waste like that).

Do this and your problems will be gone!

    #1 Raise water temperature

#2 Dim lights for several days

    #3 Add aquarium salt

    # 4Treat with copper sulphate for ten days

#5 Discontinue carbon filtration during treatment

I use quick cure but i will warn you it does affect some fish, i learned this the hard way with my clown loaches the formalin in quick cure is a little too much for them, also tetras are not too good with formalin so it recommends a half dose.
