Went away to college alone. 3 weeks and still no friends. help?
I have been here since Jan 2nd. i still don't have anybody that i would call a friend. I talk to people in my classes. i joined the swim team. i have been on ONE date. he's the closest thing i have to a friend and i don't want to suffocate him. i waved at him today from across the classroom and he had the facial expression that made me think i waved a little too enthusiastically. So what im i doing wrong? i shower daily so i know i don't smell. lol. also, i might not be drop dead gorgeous but i like to think im somewhat attractive.
were on a three track system so i'm by no means the only one that just got here.

Joining the swim team was a good idea. I pick things I *REALLY* like to do for activities just because I really like them so much that if I make a friend, that's just a bonus.
I might point this out though, not having friends is better than having enemies and people making your life a living hell.

If you got there half way through the year it's harder...people have already separated and made friends.
Just keep trying, it's only been three weeks sometimes it takes a couple of months. Maybe try dating more people outside of school, that kept me busy sometimes!
