It is possible, there are many leads that may say that skull kid is the same skull kid
no.1 the temple of time is in this game
No.2 you have the adult version of epona.
And no.3 the Heros Mage mentions that he defeated ganon before.
But nintendo says there is no timeline so I guess we will never know.

logically, no. the zelda games have no chronological order at all (apart from ocarina of time and majora's mask). many people have tried to put them in an order. it's just impossible.
