stupidest trade that was made by team in the last 10 years? (not on draft night)?

1. and 2. not only affected both those teams, but it also affected the outcome of what the Western conference would look like for the next 2 years. In 2008, if Phoenix had their best team as they should of, I don't think they finish 6th in the west, they would of been a higher seed, maybe even the top seed. Dallas was not much different either, they were a top 3 caliber team in the league before they had traded Devin Harris. I guarantee you that the season the Hornets had in 2008 was a fluke. And 3. is where it is, the 3rd worst, I don't think the current Denver team is better than the 2007 Mavs and Suns.

5. The Bulls traded a young, established star that put up 20 points and 10 rebounds every night for a rookie out of high school and a career bench player. Set the team back 10 years and they are just now becoming consistently competitive again. Might I also add that Chandler and Skinner are long gone.

1998 - Mavericks traded Robert Traylor to the Bucks for Dirk Nowitzki

2001 - Rockets traded Richard Jefferson, Jason Collins, and Brandon Armstrong to the Nets for Eddie Griffin

2005 - New Orleans Hornets trade Baron Davis to Golden State for Speedy Claxton and Dale Davis

2004 - Lakers trade Shaq to Miami for Caron Butler, Lamar Odom, and Brian Grant
