Unemployment still on the Rise?

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100204/ap_on_bi_go_ec...

I thought everyone was excited that unemployment decreased in December...wasnt the recession over and all? Doesnt this increase in unemployment prove it was only the seasonal jobs that allowed the % to decrease? And the first time jobless rate also increased....Why cant the govt stimulate job creation and hiring?

Govt programs create dislocations and imbalances that foul up the economy and make it harder for biz to grow and add new employees. The more the govt "stimulates," the more it costs, the higher the taxes, the greater the necessity to cut costs - including cutting employment. We have far too many people and too-rapid population growth, mostly due to immigration, but our birth rate is ridiculously high, too.

The worst thing you can do is tell govt to "fix" what the govt broke in the first place. It's just getting worse and worse the more govt intervenes. There is now NO WAY whatsoever it can be fixed, and if we look to the Abomanation to fix it, it will be much harder and take much longer to collapse and start rebuilding.

If BO had the slightest intention of reducing the pain and costs, he would first force all immigration-law violators to depart or be deported, then cease all foreign workers' visas. This would open up jobs for some of the 31 million Americans who are out of work and desperately hunting for jobs.

    It was no surprise.

All the government has to do is get out of the way and let the system work.

They are making all the business owners (large and small) paranoid.

No one will hire with a potential black(or red) cloud over their head.
