Should "safe sex" be promoted in schools through sexual education classes?

Or are lessons that stick strictly to human biology or use abstinence-based programmes to be preferred? should this be the responsibility of the parents? How should it be taught?

Well I'm 16 and will be leaving school this year.

We recieved no sex education at all at our school within the 5 years that I've been there.

Plenty of girls in my year have been pregnant, miscarried and have had abortions.

I sometimes think that with the right sex education, it might not have necessarily happened.

I don't think sex or politics should be taught in schools, teach them how to read, write and add up, anything else and i will home school them.
