In the Turkish language, do some sentences require the word "ben"...?

since the suffix "-im" already identifies that the speaker is talking about himself/herself, is it necessary to have "ben" in some sentences? and if so, why?

If yo want to emphasize yourself then you must say Ben. If not yaptım, geldim gördüm, yendim (Caesar) etc. Bu kitabı ben aldım. I myself have got this book. Bir kitap aldım: I have got a book.

It's not necessary, but it's more formal and more correct.
