Like has been said, ask DMV. See if there is paper work in the system for it that has been long forgotten. There is a way to get a title for it, and there are a lot of restorers who would take it off of your hands amd pay cash for it. Some even advertise in Hemmings Motor News which is on line. So if you don't have the time to chase paper work contact one of them.
In some states because of its age all you will need is a signed affidavit that has been notarized to file for a lost title as part of the estate if you are the executor.

If you have a 32 pick up truck sell the dang thing no matter how bad it is . Some one will be it . It is the holy grail of hot rods and its old enough that some person could due lost title or personal assemby with this car when done .

Sell it to ME!!! Do Not Scrap it! Sell it for parts, etc. Put an ad on craigslist. Put on e-bay. Put in hemmings. Someone will buy it. Probably for pretty good money! Even if it is rusty, someone will buy it just for the parts, etc. no matter what condition it is in. A restorer will buy it just for the fasteners if he needs them.
There is no "VIN" to look up. You have to have the frame, or engine number if you go to DMV. (engine # should be by the water neck, but depends on the engine)
IF YOU ARE NOT TO SELL FOR A PROFIT, GIVE THEM AWAY! SOMEONE WILL BE VERY HAPPY TO TAKE THEM!!!
Source(s): Restored several '32s. My customer wants them correct right down to the right markings on the heads of the bolts. (they make replacement bolts, but they do not have the right markings) - How do you think about the answers? You can sign in to vote the answer.

were do u live???....i am guessing u live in one of the stupid states that require titles to dispose of vehicles.........
honestly i would call some local resto shops and offer to sell it to them for 500 bucks....more than likely they will come take it off ur hands no questions asked......
btw u can sell it as a "parts" or salvage vehicle in most areas without a title.....
but if it was me i would keep it get it titled and fix it up......

NOoooo
Sell it, it doesn't matter how bad of condition it is, you can potentially make thousands, doesn't matter if it runs or even has an engine...
