How much should a 14 year old charge for dog-walking?

If you were to hire a professional dog walker a 15- to 20-minute walk usually costs between $15 and $17 for one dog, a 30- to 40-minute walk usually costs between $18 and $22 for one dog, and a 40-minute to an hour-long walk usually costs between $22 and $27 for one dog. Most dog walking services do not price by breed, just by number of dogs. As many as three more dogs from the same household, or neighboring homes, can usually be added for about $10 or half price each. So I would probably say that given your age people will definitely question your experience; so you may want to lower the prices just a little bit, and if you have them I would offer references. If it were me I would offer a 15 to 20 minute walk for $10 dollars, a 30 to 40 minute walk for $15 dollars, and an hour long walk for $20 dollars. Should you be able to offer the multiple household or multiple neighborhood dog discount I would only charge $5 dollars each per dog.

It will depend on how long, how far, and how rigorously you walk the dog. It will also depend on how difficult the particular dog is to walk.

Obviously, you cannot walk the average teacup poodle 4 miles, and 15 minutes of walking is not enough for a full grown lab.

I'd say for 1 hour of rigorous walking charge 15-20 dollars.

If you take the dog on a 25 minute walk, charge about 10 dollars.

I would not recommend charging over 30 dollars unless you are in a very wealthy area.

Well it depends on how far you are walking them. To walk one dog for a mile i would say you could charge maybe a dollar. I know that doesn't seem like much but it all adds up and you don't want people to not even consider you because the price is to high. you could also ask a few of the people that you are considering walking dogs for, that would help. :)

I think it depends on the size and behavior of the dog. If the dog is huge and has bad behavior on a walk (like pulling) it should cost around ten dollars. If you have just an average dog then i think your first price is good. If there are two dogs then i think between ten and twelve dollars is a good amount. Good Luck!

Since here the minimum wage is $8.00 and the cash goes in your pocket $5-$6 is reasonable.I'm 60 years old , a caregiver to the elderly with college education in the field and had to argue for $9.00 an hour and I pay taxes ,ss and the rest..

you should charge some where between $10-12 a week since they only need to walk 4 like 10 min

i wud pay a dog walker to walk my dog but i wud not trust a 14 year old to be mature or patient enough to walk my dog cuz ur 14 ur not patient or responsible ur only doin it for money not for the dog and yu wud prob let go of the dog and let it get run over if ur not experienced dnt bother!!
