GPS unit or cellphone GPS program?

Hi! AS a driving instructor, I need to get to students homes. My old GPS (Roadmate 360) died on me. I'm thinking of purchasing a cellphone with GPS -like the new Nexus One. I can't decide between that and getting a separate GPS unit...like the Garmin Nuvi 885t. Is AGPS as accurate as a stand alone unit? Thank you in advance!

Update:

Having never used AGPS on cellphones, do they provide turn-by-turn directions?

My cell phone has wonderful GPS system on it, but by the time i paid the $35.00/ month (25 for internet and 10 for navigation) it was worth it to me to buy a stand alone system. It ends up costing me about $147/ year with map up dates versus the $420 it would have cost with the 35/ month route. If you already have internet on your phone, then go ahead and use the cell phone GPS system.
