I cant say the most inconsistent, but they are definitely somewhere on top of the list. Although I was watching highlights, there were a lot of bad calls by the umpire, I would think maybe i am imagining things but the commentators had a lot of jokes on SL umpiring too so i think i was right to think it was on pretty low standards. But that was just this test match, even in ODI you saw how pakistan played. There are a lot of inconsistent teams out there, windies for ones, as joe gave the example for india, and if you notice Zimbabwe as well. they win when you think they will easily lose, but once you get a bit hope and think oh they have a chance they start playing like a associate nation lol.

Most of the things you mention are contributing factors. Lack of confidence in ability and lack of any leadership. The fact decent players like Umar Akmal play ridiculous shots like happened last night when the team needed him to stay in helps a lot. Also Australia has played very good cricket for most the summer. When the batting hasn't held up for Australia like last night and in that first innings of the Sydney test, the bowling had stood up. Last night was the first time all summer that Pakistan fielded well and only the second time they've bowled really well.

They are going through a re-building process, and will take some time for all the newer players to gain the experience needed to be able to maintain the necessary pressure for an entire game, be it a ODI or Test.
Just wait until India goes through the same process - they are only just competitive now (against strong teams like NZ, SA, Eng and Aust), so when they start rebuilding, we can all sit back and laugh at them.

None of the above. There is nothing wrong with the Pakistani cricket team. It is a good team. When it plays someone else it will WIN. The reason it lost 3 tests, 5 50 over games and so far, 1 20 over game is AUSTRALIA IS BL>>>>OO>>>DY AWeSOME MAN> OZZIe OZZIE OZZIE OZZIE.
and RICKY PONTING IS THE GREATEsT CAPTAIN OF ALL TIME. He is just perfect.
