Do pomeraian male dogs mark their spots even after they are fix?
I'm thinking of getting a puppy but my bf is anti male dogs. He refuses to get a male dog due to the fact that they'll be "stinking up" all around the house (territorial marks). I have a male kitty cat that I got fix before he got to a certain age that does not lift his leg for any reason (he even squats to take a leak). I'm just wondering if male dogs will do the same.

I have dozens of friends with INTACT male dogs and none of them mark in the house.
That is because their dogs are trained.
Neutering is no substitute for training.
If you fail to housetrain your Pomeranian no matter what sex then its going to use the house as a bathroom.
As an added not, my spayed Female Pomeranian when outside, will lift her leg and mark things, I had a female Rottie that did the same thing.

Cats don't lift their legs to go to the bathroom.
A male dog normally won't mark territory in the house if you have them neutered before they reach sexual maturity.
Any dog will likely mark however, if they can smell that a male has marked the area previously even a female.

Yes a dog will still mark his territory or spot Lift his leg and wet on stuff .A cat is not like that

Most likely he still will. Cats mark territory a bit different than a dog- they spray. When neutered really young they often dont spray but a male dog will still lift his dog to pee and it goes everywhere and it smells worse than a females.

~ It is dependent upon the puppy. How good is he housebroken? What persona kind does he have? Some puppies will mark it doesn't matter what the minute they're in new apartment and both scent or see a puppy irrespective of the intercourse. Other unfixed puppies won't mark. Your likelihood of the puppy marking at a few factor for your apartment is above natural however the one approach to inform is permit him in. Some puppies mark like loopy external, however under no circumstances carry there leg within. It is unlucky that men don't seem to be constant at an early age if they don't seem to be going to be breeders. I have performed plenty of fostering and puppy sitting and obvious plenty of unfixed men who've a difficult time going locations due to the fact that in their marking conduct.

yes the dog will still cock its leg but even if you do get a male dog it will only do it a few times just to show its "new terratory". after that if there are no other male dogs in the house marking it should stop.

dogs wont "stink" up a place if you train them to go outside...and dogs do mark their spot after they are fixed. i have 2 male fixed dogs and they mark their territory and don't stink up our house unless we don't take them outside.

Dogs will raise their legs even after neutering. It is up to you to train the dog not to go in the house,.
