Virtual memory is on your hard drive. Look for files ending in .sys in the C: folder.

You should reboot when you get that message. Also look into increasing your RAM.

These days, 2 gigs RAM is standard minimum.

To increase your computer's virtual memory, you first have to know your PC's speed. If you know that your pc is fast and very good, you can set your virtual memory very high.

To set your virtual memory, go to start and right click on my computer. You can do this o your desktop too. In properties, go to the advanced tab at the top. Next select settings in the performance section. Now, go to the advanced tab at the top. In the virtual memory section at the bottom, select change. Choose custom size and increase your initial and maximum size. Again, if your computer is fast, set it very high. There is a maximum number that you can set it to and it is different for different drives.

    Hope this helps. :)!

Right click on My Computer, then select properties, then select advanced, then Performance, then advanced again, Virtual memory is on bottom. VM should be twice your RAM. So 1GB ram, should be at 2048 for VM.
