What do you think about guinea pigs?

I love my guinea pig! His name is Marty :). They are sweet, a little shy. Fairly quiet. But he whistles at me from time to time. They are a great pet! My dogs and cats like to sit outside his cage and watch him. He's not scared of them. He likes to sniff them through the bars of his cage. They're fun.

If you're thinking of getting one, I think you should. They're sweet, friendly and low maintenance.

A guinea pig is a rodent. I do not like rodents. They are really jittery and high strung like they're on meth all the time. No fun as a pet in my opinion unless you eat them.

My son bought one for his girlfriend and she loves it. She said she takes him out of his cage every night and he sits on her lap while she watches TV, or sits on the bed with her if she is on the phone. She says he is funny, making little noises and very loving to her. Loves being petted and talked to.

They are cute, but they get scared easily and are likely to scratch you if you pick them up.
