Head twitching giving me head aches?
some told me it is because of anxiety but every once in a while i will adopt some sort of annoying habit like lightly grinding my teeth constantly or constantly tightening a certain muscle and i will get so sick of it that i have to work really hard to make it stop but recently i have been moving muscles in my head and face and it has been giving me bad head aches, and i keep trying to stop and it doesnt work. it is volunteery too so i say to myself ok i done but i start doing a second later, how do i stop?

Definitely sounds like anxiety, and about the best thing for you is to adopt some deep breathing and meditation techniques, and do them on a regular basis. A lot of this is caused by shallow breathing, which you do unconsciously, and which leads to insufficient oxygen getting to various parts of the body. I've had the problem for years. Try to become very aware of your breathing patterns.

The question is what was there first, the little habit or the pain? Lots of people do little things that distract them from pain or something that eases the pain because they don't know how to release it. It sounds like this could be you because of the associated headaches. Here is how you can release the muscles in your neck which should get rid of your headaches and hopefully it will help you stop doing what you are doing:
Neck
Invert your hands and put them next to your head placing your thumbs in under your ears and your fingers behind your head. Squeeze together and hold until the muscles release. Then slowly lower your head until your neck is fully extended, release the pressure but hold your head there for another 30 seconds.
With your neck in the bent position, replace your thumbs in under the ears and your fingers behind your neck but right next to your skull this time. Press your fingers and thumbs together again and hold. Relax your body while waiting. When the muscles have all released, slowly lift your head until it’s level again, release the pressure but hold your head like that for another 30 seconds.

if you cant stop its probably not as voluntary as you think. if you are on any medications it could be a reaction to one of them. but the best thing to do is see a doctor
