01bmw 3series, mp3 kit , memory stick...?
I have a cassette head unit in the front, and a cd boot changer, is there any kind of kit I can get to enable me to play mp3s, or use a memory stick etc without changing the head unit as I've hundreds of old cassettes that I would never be able to replace otherwise.
Thanks.

Hi Chris,
I think you will be able to, as long as your head unit and cd changer are both BMW units! If this is the case you should be able to purchase an AUX IN kit and play your MP3 player through a audio jack plug lead. I'm sure there would be other more complex kits available but this option would be the easiest/cheapest.

You would however have to sacrifice your CD changer as the 3 wire inputs share the same pin locations in the back of the radio.
My advice would be to first contact a BMW dealer with the last 7 digits of your chassis number and enquire whether an auxillary is available for your model. To fit it's simply a case of mounting the socket and swapping over the 3 pins.
Feel free to contact me if you require any further help.
Good luck, Pyth
