Can someone give me some information about Canadian dialect?
I'm doing a small project on dialect for school and since I'm Canadian I don't notice the dialect much.

Canadian dialect? I'm French Canadian, perfectly bilingual and quite frankly I don't think there is such a thing as a Canadian dialect. There is a Canadian accent...my cousin in the states make the remark every time they see me but they understand me loud and clear. For "Canadian Dialect" to exist that would mean that there would be major difference in the language itself and even consider an entirely different language.

To the best of my knowledge though there are regional differences, but no true dialects in Canada. Remember though that in Canada two languages are spoken: English and French. The Canadian French is somewhat different from the French spoken in France. There many other countries where you'll find distinct dialects; for instance Germany. The Bavarian dialect is very different from the dialects of Northern Germany. You may want to re-direct your research.
