Children's fancy dress ideas?

When I create home-made fancy dress costumes, I always look at fancy dress websites for inspiration - especially if they have a kids section.

- Maybe a butterfly or a bumble bee, all you would need is some wings, and some antennas which could be made out of (I forget what they call it, but from a craft shop and its like bendy pipe stuff) and attach it to a headband. If you were to go as a bumble bee, all you would have to do is get a yellow top and sew some black ribbon around it to look like the stripes.

- Maybe she could go as what she wants to be when she gets older, like a dancer or something (I don't know what 4 year old girls dream of being)

I would say maybe a ladybird, bumble bee, butterfly.

Maybe her certain favourite TV character.

This isn't too girly but we went as hobos as kids. We simply wore some of our dad's old work clothes, smeared our face w/soot for beards, and went off like that.
