Obama calls himself a black man..... is he ashamed of being half white ?

is the glass half full or half empty? If he stated himself as a white man, than the racist blacks would not have gotten away from their jerry springer and renta center slums and voted. They would have done the only thing they have to do in the ghetto. Prostitute and sell crack. Maybe Since Obama can relate to them he will give poor people a chance in life. But it is doubtful. That is why he always talks about hope never talks about faith. He doesnt even have faith in his own government. And neither do I.

If you didn't know what his heritage was, you'd say he was a black man.

He's been looked at like a black man his whole life, not as a half white, half black man. So it only makes sense that he would identify himself as a black man.

I have friends that are part native american, yet they still refer to themselves as white. They don't point out that they are partially NA, unless it can gain them something.

I believe most people born from different race usually consider themselves as the dominant trait stemming from their father side. Since Obama's father was African and that is the dominant gene, he considers himself African-American more then being Caucasian.

Also to note that he physically do not have the stereotypical European-Caucaian features to pass as a caucasian.

Almost nobody is racially pure blood, especially in America, and blood doesn't matter anyway as much as appearance.

Obama looks black, so he is treated as black, so he considers himself black. I doubt even once anyone has ever described Obama by appearance as being half-white. And why are people obsessed with this issue anyway? Do you really think any of this matters?

If he referred to himself as a white man than he would be accused of being a racist. Go figure.

traditionally, in the journey that your any Black you're in basic terms seen Black. it is the user-friendly perception and basically the politically-spectacular varieties in this era will ever have faith otherwise, different than Obama of direction who believes it himself.
