I think I have a few. "Learning to Live" is one. I love the arrangement and the depth of James voice on that song. I think "Forsaken" from Systematic Chaos is a great song. The time changes and imagery of that song made me use it as my YA name! And although this is not a Dream Theater song, their cover of "Number of the Beast" is freaking awesome!

Wow, that's a tough one. I had to go through my iTunes library for a good 15 minutes before i even started answering. some people really like Dream Theater for their metal side, i.e. Train of Thought, but some people really like their long instrumental sections where they show their true abilities as musicians like the one in Metropolis and Stream of Consciousness(which happens to be on Train of Thought). Others like DT because James Labrie is the man and can hit deafeningly high notes. (Learning to Live, and pretty much all of Images and Words, and have you heard Live at the Marquee? he's incredible) Since i love all these aspects of Dream Theater, my favorite would have to be the most well balanced song.

AAGGHH, please don't make me choose between Octavarium and A Change of Seasons!!!!!!

i'll go with Octavarium. (Scene 6: Home is a close 3rd though)

'Home' from 'Scenes From a Memory'

So much depth and variation. It's exploration of all the different characters - who they are, what drives them - also adds a lot to the emotional aspects of the narrative.
