Yasodhara was the daughter of King Suppabuddha, and Pamitā, sister of the Buddha's father, King Suddhodana.. Her father was a Koliya chief and her mother came from a Shakya family.
She was wedded to her cousin, the Shakya prince Siddhartha in his 19th year when she was 16 years of age.

I didn't know she was important to the Buddha story. I got the impression it was all about Buddha, isn't he the central character. The world evolved around Buddha what he said, did, farted, and crapped out. The whole bag of chips.
At least God doesn't mind sharing the stage or letting others give us wisdom.
