External Microphone Wont Work on Windows 7?
I bought an external microphone and I thought it didnt work. I then then tried it in another laptop which is exactly the same but is running windows xp. It worked perfectly on the windows xp laptop but wen i put it into the Windows 7 laptop it doesnt do anything. The laptop recognises it as being plugged in but it doesnt recieve any sound. I have tried looking for drivers but cant find any. The Windows 7 laptop is a Compaq CQ61-315SA any help will do good. Thanks.

If you can’t find the right Windows drivers manually I would recommend just getting a software program that can do it for you. There is a program I use which will find drivers for just about all hardware devices. The best part is it takes a snapshot of your system specifications and matches the right driver to go with it.
