take Biotin or another multi-B vitamin supplement. Biotin helps strengthen hair too :)

You can find agar agar quite easily in most stores. It's of Southeast Asian origin and is a natural gelling agent made from seaweed of the Gelidum, Eucheuma or Gracilaria species. The gel has a very high melting point and will only dissolve in boiling water. It's also known as seaweed gelatine, seaweed jelly, japanese gelatine or macassar gum. It's also known as E406.

Gelatin doesn't do anything nutritional for you, so don't worry about that. Antioxidants like Beta Carotene and Vitamin E will help your nails grow. For recipes, Agar-Agar and Pectin are gelatin substitutes.

Gelatin doesn't help your hair and nails-an all over healthy diet gives you healthy hair and nails. Beans, vegetables, whole grains and fruit are all easily affordable-it's all the fake meat and processed crap that's expensive.
