Is this normal? (ahh this is too short of a question!!)?

Is it weird that I have never ever cried watching a movie or reading a book or having a inspirational talk?

I'm not completely apathetic. I cry all the time when it comes to real life because life just sucks half the time. Do you think it might just be because I've taught myself so much as a kid that book and movies are fake because otherwise I was so scared all the time of everything?

It's not abnormal. You have said it yourself, you consider movies and such to be fake.

No, I'd say it was perfectly normal, we all find ourselves emotionally involved with all sorts of things.

I didn't cry @ my Mother's funeral 4 yrs ago, but had cried buckets @ my Grandmother's 15 yrs earlier, though I adored my Mother & saw my Grandma poss 6x before she died & all of those she was in a comatose state due to long suffering Alzheimer's.

It all depends on emotional environment. For example, I think age 12 I cried as I was upset @ my parent's crying & yet age 27 I felt I had to be strong as I had my father (5 siblings, 2 Aunts & a nephew) all in floods so I felt I had to be strong & support Dad as the others all had "Life partners" to support them through the time ahead.

I've never cried over a movie, though a couple of songs really hit me hard when they come on the radio, it's all respective of emotional development & EVERYONE's is totally individual to themselves!!

Not at all. There is only one movie that makes me cry: Marley and Me. I only cried because my dad cried. Some people just show their emotions in different ways so it can be totally normal!
