have this weird pain in my chest, like my rib pops out?
I've had it for years! It can be extremely painful, it feels like my rib moves and gets stuck so it's tough to breath and the only way to get rid of it is to bend backwards over a chair and breath in really deep until it pops back to where it's supposed to. Sometimes it's too painful to do that and all I can do is pant until I get the breath to try. Any ideas as to what this is? It's not an immediate concern of mine because i've had it for so long, but I think i will see the doctor anyway.
Thanks.

Hiatal hernia - I had it at your age too. None of the information about these is useful if you are having this popping (really sliding) symptom. You aren't obese, probably, and you are not middle aged, and you are not having acid reflux -- or maybe you are ( that would be the dull pain once in a while). You can ask your doctor about it, and it can be helpful to avoid lifting. There are things you can change in your diet, and you can sleep on your back with your shoulders raised a bit. I have it much less often now that I am grown up.

Bizarre. I'd get a chest x-ray. Ribs that are a problem can be removed.
