How do I burn a DVD that will work on my DVD players?

I have no problem burning a DVD that will work on computers, but they do not seem to work in the DVD players on my TV sets. I am good at computers, but in no way a pro. Can someone explain to me how to do this in a way I can understand? I am using Windows 7 on a brand new Dell computer.

Because most normal DVD player only recognize the standard video DVD, don't recognize the data DVD(directly burn video files on disc), so you have to convert and burn your videos to standard video DVD, i am using rz dvd creator to do this well, it can create/burn standard video DVD from any videos, easy to use, you may have a try, hope it can help you.

if your not already i would suggest using the dvd-r

and not dvd-rw or dvd+r dvds as these are less compatible

also if you have an old dvd player it may not play burned dvd's at all, it should say on the front of the player what formats it supports

if you want to your videos to dvd , and can play well on regular dvd player, you have to burn your video to standard video dvd,it's not a single video file, include BUP,IFO,VOB video file, you can directly burn them to standard video dvd with the right burning software, maybe you can try RZ DVD Creator, now i am using it, works well on my computer, it can create/burn standard video DVD from any videos, and can play well on normal dvd player, it can directly convert and burn any videos to DVD(DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD-R DL, DVD+R DL, etc), such as avi to DVD ,mkv to DVD, etc.

You can yahoo or google search and download "RZ DVD Creator", work well on my computer, easy to use, good quality, most functionality, hope it can help you.
