Marriage License state to state?

My fiancee and I live in California, but we are going to get married in Delaware. We were planning on getting the license a few days in advance while we are in DE. Will the ,marriage be recognized in CA? It seems like a stupid questions, I know. Would it be better if we were to get the License in CA? Thanks for the help!

    All marriages are recognized in all states and in all countries; unless, of course, it's a same-sex marriage.
