xp keeps freezing help?

whenever im watching a movie, on the internet or playing a game my computer freezes up. When it freezes the programs will suddenly stop and i cant alt-ctrl-delete my way out of it. i can move my mouse around but i cannot click anything. if there was a sound in progress usually during a freeze it will repeat over and over. Ultimately i have to reboot the system and after it comes on my computer will vary anywhere to within a hour before freezing again. Never had this issue before so i tried a dozen of anti viruses but nothing works.

First I would try reading the System log for errors around the time your pc froze, for a possible indication of what caused the problem. Click Start, and then click Control Panel. Click Performance and Maintenance, and then click Administrative Tools. Double–click Event Viewer to open it and then System Log to view.

Your problem could have been caused by an installation of a new program or driver causing conflicts, try to think back to what you installed just before it first started to go wrong, and when. You could try removing it as a test, or trying a system restore to around that date-but backup all your precious files first, just to be safe.

I had a freezing problem twice- i believed they were down to graphics drivers installed on my system, possibly conflicting with something else (eg the systems own default graphics drivers not fully uninstalled). I had to reinstall the entire system to get the pc to stop freezing. As a last resort if nothing else works, you could also try removing your graphics card (if you have one) as a test to see if your system still keeps freezing, if it does then at least youll know its not that causing the problem. If the pc doesnt freeze, then you could try replacing its drivers with different ones to see if that helps. If you dont have a graphics card you could try different compatible ones for your system, eg older drivers.

I would also recommend a full system scan with Avira, and Malwarebytes, if you havent tried them already :-

I noticed you have Bonjour installed on your system, that is junkware by Adobe, may not be the cause but I would recommend its removal anyway ;)

you also have MS Office groove-if u dont use it, I also recommend its removal :-
